Between the Pages (Currently Reading)

Heya folks!

I told you I’d be back with an actual book-related post at some point this week; I’ve had so much reading to do for uni that I haven’t managed to sit down at all and catch up on blogging til today!?!

So, without further ado, my ‘currently reading’ list:

Graceling by Kristin Cashore

Completed: 51%
This has literally been on my tbr since I was about eleven or twelve. I finally bought it on Kindle this year and have been slowly working through it whilst I wait in line for parcels and stuff and I absolutely love it. People say that this book is a timeless fantasy and I 100% agree – there’s literally nothing I don’t like about it.

The Spanish Tragedy by Thomas Kyd

Completed: About 50%
Okay so this one is for my course and I started reading it yesterday; I love it way more than I initially expected?? Think Shakespeare, and you’ll know what this play is like. (Actually, people reckon that Hamlet was based off this play, so yah).

If on a Winter’s Night a Traveller by Italo Calvino

Completed: 27%
This was mentioned in the feedback I got from my uni-application portfolio as a meta-fiction novel, so I figured I’d read it and guys I love this book. Granted, I haven’t read loads of it yet, but the whole idea of it has me grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice

Completed: 26%
I…can’t actually remember where I came across this book? I’m pretty sure it was when I was blog hopping the other day, and I basically dared myself to read it. It’s basically 50 Shades but like…fairytale-esque. With lots and lots of BDSM. Yah, I’m not sure if I’ll finish it but yanno. Worth a shot XD.

That’s all I’m reading at the moment – I’m going to try and update next week!

Lots of love,
