Reverse Bookish Q&A!!

Heya folks!

So I saw this idea AGES ago on The Orangutan Librarian, and I reckon that getting to know all you lovely people better is a 10/10 plan – feel free to drop your answers in the comments, tag me via Twitter, or create your own post and tag me so’s I can read everything!!

The Questions:

  1. Fictional character you’d go on a date with
  2. Biggest bookish pet peeve
  3. Book you’ve read fanfic of
  4. Favourite sibling dynamic in a book
  5. Favourite book cover
  6. Favourite opening line
  7. What book do you think I should DEFINITELY read this year?

And a bonus question:
Watch THIS VIDEOΒ and decide who says the line correctly (it’ll become clear, I promise!!)

Looking forward to reading all your answers! πŸ™‚

Lots of love,
Lost Signature

  1. I love this tag! It’s such a fun way of getting to know people! So here we go!

    1. Kaz Brekker. No, he’s not exactly boyfriend material and trust me I wouldn’t date him. But I’d love to meet him. He’s just so cool!
    2. Dog eared pages!
    3. I haven’t read fanfic…yet
    4. I honestly can’t think of any! There are so few good ones!
    5. The entire Shatter Me series covers!
    6. β€œFirst the colors. Then the humans. That’s usually how I see things. Or at least, how I try.” – The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
    7. Children of Blood and Bone. I’ve been putting it off for forever! Have you read it yet?

    1. Thanks!! Hope you enjoyed 😁
Ooh Kaz, interesting choice but I get you – he’s so fascinating??
The Shatter Me covers are so beautiful but I still haven’t read them πŸ˜‚ Are they good?? I haven’t read Children of Blood and Bone yet either (but I do own it!!)
Also I absolutely ADORE that opening – I need to give The Book Thief another shot πŸ’šπŸ’š

      1. The Shatter Me books are hit or miss. I personally really disliked book 1 but I loved books 2 & 3. The writing is very poetic and while I liked it, I know it got in a lot of people’s nerves lol. And I started CoBaB but never finished. I only got to like 100 pages or so. I should really get back to it one day. And yes!! The Book Thief is so good!! I cried so much while reading!

      2. That’s fair – they aren’t high on the tbr at the mo, but I’ll try em one day 😁 Ooh let me know how it goes as and when?? And I’ve heard so many good/sad things about the Book Thief!!!

  2. Ooh fun! 1. Baz from carry on, even if he isn’t up for it πŸ˜‰ 2 Mary sues/Marty stus 3 sorry, I haven’t read any 4. Off the top of my head, the weasleys. 5. Circe 6. All children except one grow up
And I don’t know the answer to the last two I’m afraid πŸ˜‰

    1. Hey! I haven’t read Carry On in so long, but I 100% agree on Baz πŸ˜‰ I didn’t even think of the Weasleys oh wow that’s such a good one πŸ˜‚ Ahhhh Peter Pan, my favourite book of all time 😁😁 Thanks for taking the time to comment!!

  3. 1. Nope, not gonna choose. I have far too many fictional favourites xD
    2. People writing in books or folding corners, especially if I lent it to them. Would it kill people to find a bookmark? (If we’re talking plot devices, I hate love triangles!)
    3. Harry Potter, mostly, for books, but for TV? Everything. Gotham, The Flash, Merlin, Sherlock, the list is endless πŸ˜€
    4. Fred and George Weasley. Still not over book 7!
    5. Spellslinger (at the moment, even though I haven’t read it yet!)
    6. ‘I have just taken an overly large bite of iced bun when Callum slices his finger off.’ (Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy, which is also my answer for 7 :D)

    1. Not choosing is probably a good option, I’m with you πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Ey that’s a huge list!! Fanfic is so brilliant and OH MY GOODNESS WHAT A LINE. I NEED TO READ THIS BOOK ASAP!!! THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME TO REPLY πŸ˜‡πŸ’šπŸ’š

      1. I read so much fanfic, it’s awesome πŸ˜€
Lady’s Guide is so good, I love Felicity, and I’m two chapters from the end. The new characters, (Joanne and Sim) are cool, and Monty and Percy showing up make it even more epic ❀ πŸ˜€

  4. Lol I’m late but:

1 – Ummm… Abby Suso, Nina Zenik, Ginny Weasley, Isabelle Lightwood… I have too many favourites πŸ™ˆ
2 – Love triangles annoy me to no end.
3 – I haven’t actually really read any fanfic? But I did promise my friend I’d read a few Scorbus fanfics they like, so I guess soon(ish) I’ll have read some Cursed Child fanfic?
4 – I just really love sibling dynamics in books in general, but one of my favourites would have to be the Blackthorns in The Dark Artifices.
5 – I really freaking love the cover for Tess of the Road. And also These Broken Stars, Girls of Paper and Fire, and Starfish.
6 – “Kell wore a very peculiar coat. It had neither one side, which would be conventional, nor two, which would be unexpected, but several, which was, of course, impossible.” (A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab)
7 – And I don’t really know what you’ve read tbh? Have you read Gentleman’s Guide/Lady’s Guide? How about anything by Schwab? πŸ™‚

Wow basically I’m just really indecisive haha

    1. Nothing wrong with too many favourites!!! That list definitely includes some of my faves too 😁 Oooh I agree with the Blackthorns (acc need to read Lord of Shadows…) they’re such an awesome cohort of characters!?! And that is one hell of an opening line, how have I never finished that book πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I’ll finish the Schwab!! I will!! Thank you for the answers!! πŸ’šπŸ’š
